Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a Senior Operations Supervisor to lead the hourly workforce and up to 65 Class A Drivers at our Batavia, IL location. You will oversee daily tasks, scheduling, and performance to meet cost objectives and customer expectations.

You will review truck runs, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safety and compliance while strengthening teamwork and communication across the site.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years related functional experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills.
• Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential.
• Willingness to travel, work the specified schedule and location, background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Communicate performance standards that are specific and measurable.
• Interview hourly associates and provide recommendations for hire.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and other performance markers and provide counseling or recognition as needed.
• Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading/unloading, dispatch and documentation; improve dispatch/warehouse productivity.
• Provide relief coverage for operational duties when associates are absent or on time off.
• Ensure compliance with safety and financial policies and procedures; manage overtime and productivity targets.
• Assist in training new associates and ensure site operating systems are understood for compliance and accurate records.
