Ryder System, Inc. in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a Senior Manager Logistics to lead the Distribution Center and its supervisors, overseeing turn-key warehousing and transportation solutions with regular interaction with the customer.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred
• Master’s degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred
• Five (5) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required
• Five (5) years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports required
• Three (3) years or more Profit & Loss responsibility preferred
• One (1) year or more customer interaction preferred

Responsabilités

• Interface with the customer to resolve issues promptly and maintain high satisfaction.
• Strategic operational planning and execution for the operation.
• Identify and solve operational issues with continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives to strengthen team results.
• Hire, supervise, develop and manage performance for employees and maintain a positive employee relations environment.
• Maintain open communications within the work groups and review data to take necessary actions.
• May manage profit and loss statements based on the scope of the organization.
• Lead a proactive safety program and enforce location safety plans, training, and processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
