• Experience managing carrier relationships, contracts, and budgets.
• ERP experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar.

Crown Point Limited - located in Schererville, IN is a leading trading company specializing in food ingredients and agricultural commodities. We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead domestic and international logistics operations while driving service excellence, compliance, cost optimization, and continuous improvement across our supply chain.

Position Summary

The Senior Logistics Manager will oversee all import, export, and domestic transportation activities across multiple product categories. This role is responsible for logistics strategy, carrier management, trade compliance, team leadership, and operational performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep experience in international logistics, supply chain optimization, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead global and domestic transportation operations across ocean, air, rail, and truck modes.
• Manage and develop a team of Logistics Coordinators and support staff.
• Build and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, warehouses, and logistics providers.
• Negotiate freight rates, transportation contracts, and service agreements.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs, FDA, USDA, and international trade regulations.
• Oversee import/export documentation, customs filings, and Letters of Credit requirements.
• Manage logistics budgets, transportation spend, and freight invoice approvals.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high service levels.
• Monitor key logistics metrics, analyze performance data, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Operations to support customer satisfaction and business growth.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of logistics and supply chain experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of import/export operations, customs regulations, Incoterms®, and international transportation.
• Experience managing carrier relationships, contract negotiations, and logistics budgets.
• ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in food ingredients, agricultural commodities, or commodity trading.
• Knowledge of UCP 600 and Letters of Credit.
• Experience leading process improvement and supply chain optimization projects.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
