Job summary
Infra Pipes seeks a Logistics Manager to lead shipping, freight, and inventory-handling across US and Canada. You will supervise site Shipping Supervisors, optimize freight costs, and ensure cross-border compliance while partnering with plant leadership to keep material and loads moving safely and efficiently.
The role emphasizes standardization, ERP training, and continuous improvement through Lean/5S initiatives, with 25–50% travel across locations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years in logistics, shipping, or distribution with supervisory experience.
- Experience with load securement, freight, and cross-border shipments US/Canada.
- Familiarity with ERP shipping modules and barcode systems.
- Strong analytical skills for freight data and cost analysis.
- Ability to influence plant teams and build cross-site relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead shipping leadership and manage site Shipping Supervisors.
- Develop and enforce SOPs for load configuration, security, and packaging.
- Manage carrier partners and RFQs; optimize freight data and claims.
- Standardize inventory processes across locations and improve accuracy.
- Oversee customs and trade compliance for cross-border shipments.
- Support ERP users and promote barcode scanning usage.
- Participate in Lean/5S initiatives and safety training.
