This build-out role requires strategic negotiation and leadership to scale logistics across California, Texas, and additional sites.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of progressive logistics and transportation experience with demonstrated leadership.
• Proven experience in contract and carrier negotiations.
• Freight optimization experience with measurable savings.
• Track record of streamlining processes and implementing technology and systems.
• Strong analytical skills to translate freight data into decisions.

Aufgaben

• Build and maintain a nationwide network of trucking carriers, brokers, and logistics providers.
• Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and service agreements.
• Analyze freight spend and shipping lanes to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage FTL, LTL, dedicated, expedited, and intermodal transportation.
• Support inbound container flow with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Manage logistics across multiple sites, focusing on CA and TX as hubs.
• Oversee inter-site transfers to improve availability and cost.
• Collaborate with warehouse teams to improve receiving, shipping, and planning.
• Drive use of technology and systems (e.g., NetSuite) in logistics.
• Monitor carrier performance, transit times, and service levels.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
• Prepare freight performance reports and recommendations.
