Job summary

Gulf Copper is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee safe execution of all logistics, warehousing, and material movement supporting shipbuilding and marine construction programs. You will plan and coordinate international and domestic logistics for vessel equipment and materials to Gulf Copper facilities and designated Gulf Coast ports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or supply chain in shipbuilding or marine environments.
• Experience managing receiving, warehousing, material handling, inventory control, and transportation for large programs.
• APICS/ASCM, CLTD, CSCP, Lean, or related certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe execution of logistics, warehousing, and material movement for shipbuilding and marine construction programs.
• Plan and coordinate international and domestic logistics for equipment and materials to Gulf Copper facilities and ports.
• Develop and execute shipments including ocean freight, customs coordination, inland transportation, and heavy haul, from Europe and other international locations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, ocean carriers, customs brokers, and other logistics providers to ensure timely delivery.
• Establish and maintain shipment tracking and expediting system for vendor shipments globally.
