Job summary

SPL is seeking a Logistics Manager in Conroe, TX to lead routing and transportation activities across its Texas regional network. You will optimize routes, coordinate sample transport with chain-of-custody in mind, and drive continuous improvement across field services and laboratories.

The role requires a 5+ year track record in logistics, strong Excel and routing/Bi tooling skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams in a hybrid, full-time setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation coordination, or related operations roles.
• Experience managing and optimizing transportation routes and schedules across large or multi-site areas.
• Familiarity with chain-of-custody procedures and sample handling is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; routing software and BI tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage routing schedules for environmental field services and sample collection activities.
• Optimize transportation routes, scheduling, and logistics operations for efficiency and turnaround objectives.
• Coordinate sample transportation in compliance with chain-of-custody and sample handling requirements.
• Monitor logistics operations and adjust schedules, routing priorities, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with lab and operations teams to support workflow efficiency and timely sample delivery.
• Maintain routing and logistics tracking systems for reporting and performance monitoring.
• Analyze logistics metrics to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop reports, dashboards, KPIs, and operational performance metrics.
• Support quality assurance activities, audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Provide operational guidance and training regarding logistics procedures and compliance.
