Job summary

SPL, a nationwide energy and environmental testing and measurement provider, seeks a Logistics Manager to lead logistics across Environmental Services. You will develop routing schedules, optimize transport, and ensure compliant sample handling in field and lab environments.

The ideal candidate is analytical and solutions‑oriented with 5+ years in logistics, proficient in Excel and routing software, and ready to drive continuous improvement within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in logistics, dispatch, or transportation coordination.
• Experience optimizing routes and scheduling across multi-site service areas.
• Familiarity with chain-of-custody procedures for samples preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel and BI dashboards strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage routing schedules for environmental field services and sample collection activities.
• Optimize transportation routes, scheduling, and logistics operations for efficiency.
• Coordinate sample transportation with chain‑of‑custody and handling requirements.
• Monitor operations and adjust schedules, routing priorities, and resources as needed.
• Collaborate with lab and operations teams to improve workflow and on‑time delivery.
• Maintain routing and logistics tracking systems for reporting and performance monitoring.
• Analyze logistics data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop reports, KPIs, and dashboards to track performance.
• Support QA activities, audits, and corrective action initiatives as needed.
• Provide training and guidance on logistics procedures and compliance.

We’re seeking a driven and highly organized Logistics Manager to lead logistics functions across SPL’s Environmental Services operations nationwide. What You’ll Do

• Develop and manage routing schedules for environmental field services and sample collection activities
• Optimize transportation routes, scheduling, and logistics operations to support efficiency and turnaround objectives
• Coordinate sample transportation in compliance with chain‑of‑custody and sample handling requirements
• Monitor logistics operations and adjust schedules, routing priorities, and resource allocation as operational needs change
• Collaborate with laboratory and operations teams to support workflow efficiency and timely sample delivery
• Maintain routing and logistics tracking systems to support reporting and operational performance monitoring
• Analyze logistics metrics and operational data to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop reports, dashboards, KPIs, and operational performance metrics
• Support quality assurance activities, audits, investigations, and corrective action initiatives as needed
• Provide operational guidance, training and coordination support regarding logistics procedures, documentation, and compliance standards
• Assist with resolving issues related to transportation, routing, logistics coordination, and sample handling activities
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation coordination, or related operations roles, preferably in field services, environmental services, or laboratory environments
• Proven experience managing and optimizing transportation routes, logistics workflows, and operational scheduling across large or multi‑site service areas
• Familiarity with chain‑of‑custody procedures and sample handling requirements preferred
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Experience with routing software, logistics management systems, dashboards, or business intelligence tools preferred

Work Schedule & Travel

• Full-time, hybrid position following Monday - Friday schedule
• Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed to support operational demands
• Flexibility to travel occasionally to various sites across Texas and to our Reading, PA location as needed
