Job summary

ALO is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead end-to-end transportation operations in a fast-paced e-commerce and retail environment. The role focuses on domestic trucking, parcel shipping, and pool distribution, ensuring on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

You will be the subject matter expert in the distribution center and handle escalations in transportation flow. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4–6+ years in logistics, with leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain/logistics.
• 4–6+ years in trucking, parcel delivery, e-commerce logistics, or supply chain with leadership exposure.
• Strong expertise in last-mile delivery, global/regional logistics, procurement, and vendor management.
• Proficiency with logistics systems, ERP platforms, shipment tracking tools, and parcel carrier portals.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
• Self-motivated with urgency, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and strong communication.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, complex environments with autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute transportation strategies including domestic trucking, parcel shipping, and pool distribution in an e-commerce/retail setting.
• Enforce KPIs/SLA, monitor shipments, resolve service failures, and communicate delivery exceptions.
• Analyze route density, dwell time, mileage efficiency, and linehaul cost per mile to boost productivity.
• Maintain knowledge of parcel and truckload carriers, pricing, and delivery standards.
• Use logistics tools and carrier portals to support shipping execution, reporting, and issue resolution.
• Support peak season planning and execution, coordinating with local carriers and maintaining smooth operations.
• Collaborate with operations, strategy, and product teams to map carrier capabilities and allocate resources.
