Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. in Auburn Hills is seeking a Senior Logistics Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and transformation of complex logistics networks.

You will own end-to-end engineering initiatives and drive cost and service improvements across multi-modal solutions. You will partner with commercial, operations and senior leadership to develop scalable, data-driven solutions, support large RFQs and solution design, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is required.
• Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
• 7-10+ years in logistics engineering / supply chain design.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design of complex logistics solutions (multi-modal, multi-node networks).
• Own engineering workstreams for large-scale RFQs and strategic accounts.
• Serve as technical SME during customer engagements, solution presentations, and implementations.
• Drive network optimization initiatives (transport, warehouse, inventory positioning).
• Build and validate cost models, pricing assumptions, and scenario analyses.
• Lead cross-functional project teams (Ops, IT, Commercial, Finance).
• Mentor and guide junior logistics engineers.
• Define and standardize engineering methodologies, tools, and templates.
• Identify and implement automation, digitalization, and advanced analytics opportunities.
• Engage in continuous improvement at a network/portfolio level, not just project level.
• Influence senior stakeholders and support strategy development.
