Job summary

NSI in Lexington Park, MD seeks a Senior Logistics Engineer to support the PMA 265 PST/IPT, coordinating logistics engineering processes, performing complex data analyses, and securing funding for fleet readiness across F/A-18 and EA-18G programs.

The role requires independent work, interface with NAVAIR and defense partners, and active involvement in policy writing and program documentation including CPCP and Additive Manufacturing Plan.

Qualifications

• MS or MA in Acquisition, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or Management.
• Minimum 10 years' FTE experience in acquisition relating to in-service support of DoD weapons systems.
• 12–15 years of progressive engineering experience in DoD Acquisition/Sustainment with LCC experience desired.
• Direct experience with NAVAIR program offices (PMAs) and DoD systems engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the generation, analysis, and synthesis of highly technical data requests, performance metrics, and fleet readiness reports.
• Coordinate responses to Congressional Inquiries and similar high-profile data calls.
• Convene cross-functional teams to resolve fleet issues and streamline data call workflows.
• Develop technical justifications and business cases to secure funding (e.g., APN-5, OPN, O&M).
• Maintain program documentation including CPCP and Additive Manufacturing Plan.
