Job summary

Moog in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Senior Logistics Contracts Manager to lead negotiations and manage contract requirements for the enterprise Logistics category, supporting operations across multiple groups and global locations.

Reporting to the Director of Indirect Procurement, you will develop procurement strategies, draft and review vendor contracts, and ensure compliance with UCC, Incoterms, and export controls while collaborating with legal counsel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field; JD preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant contracts experience in procurement, supply chain, or contracts management, with at least three (3) years of leadership.
  • Experience managing global logistics contracts.
  • Understanding of US and international transactional principles including UCC, export licensing, imports, Incoterms, VAT, and duties.
  • Experience consulting with legal counsel on contractual terms and conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft creative solutions to unique business problems in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Support procurement managers to develop and execute procurement strategies.
  • Prepare and negotiate vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Includes drafting contractual language, reviewing and responding to proposed vendor contractual deviations.
  • Provide contracts guidance and support to procurement and logistics managers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all contracts, amendments, and associated supplier communications.
  • Develop and maintain a variety of contract templates including standard Long Term Supplier Agreements, Standard Terms and Conditions of Purchase, and other contract vehicles.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor contracts.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize the contract management lifecycle process and implement procedure changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Includes contract change and risk management, including requirements to maintain documentation related to supplier claims, disputes, and litigation, contract provision evaluation, contract drafting and contract negotiations.
  • Upskill procurement and logistics personnel by providing training on contract requirements, commercial and US Government terms and conditions, Moog policy, contract lifecycle process, and procedure requirements.

Hybrid - Buffalo, NY Moog's Indirect Procurement organization is seeking an Indirect Senior Logistics Contracts Manager . Your role is critical in leading the negotiations and managing contract requirements for the enterprise Logistics category supporting business operations across multiple operating groups and global locations. You will report to the Indirect Procurement Director. You will have an onsite or hybrid work schedule in East Aurora, New York.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related technical discipline. JD preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant contracts experience in procurement, supply chain, or contracts management, preferably within a large, complex organization, with at least three (3) years of leadership experience.
  • Experience managing global logistics contracts.
  • Understanding of US and international transactional principles including, but not limited to, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), export licensing, imports, Incoterms, VAT, and duties.
  • Experience consulting with legal counsel on contractual terms and conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft creative solutions to unique business problems in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven capability in working collaboratively within a multicultural, geographically dispersed environment.
  • Flexible working hours when required to support meetings in different time zones.
  • Occasional international or domestic travel.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Salary Range Transparency

Buffalo, NY $125,000.00-$165,000.00 Annually
