Responsibilities
  • Support procurement managers to develop and execute procurement strategies.
  • Prepare and negotiate vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Draft contractual language, review and respond to proposed vendor contractual deviations.
  • Collaborate with various Moog functional disciplines on contract requirements, such as trade compliance, VAT, duties, Incoterms, cyber security, FAR, DFARS, and other relevant areas.
  • Consult internal and external legal counsel on contract‑related matters.
  • Provide contract guidance and support to procurement and logistics managers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all contracts, amendments, and associated supplier communications.
  • Develop and maintain a variety of contract templates, including standard Long Term Supplier Agreements and Standard Terms and Conditions of Purchase.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor contracts.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize the contract management lifecycle process and implement procedural changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Handle contract change and risk management, including documentation related to supplier claims, disputes, litigation, contract provision evaluation, drafting, and negotiations.
  • Upskill procurement and logistics personnel by providing training on contract requirements, commercial and U.S. Government terms and conditions, Moog policy, contract lifecycle process, and procedural requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related technical discipline.
  • Juris Doctor (JD).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant contracts experience in procurement, supply chain, or contracts management, preferably within a large, complex organization.
  • Experience managing contracts for a wide variety of indirect procurement categories, including but not limited to Machine Tooling, Calibration Services, IT, Chemicals, Facilities, Logistics, and Professional Services.
  • Understanding of U.S. and international transactional principles including the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), export licensing, imports, Incoterms, VAT, and duties.
  • Experience consulting with legal counsel on contractual terms and conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft creative solutions to unique business problems in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven capability in working collaboratively within a multicultural, geographically dispersed environment.
  • Flexible working hours when required to support meetings in different time zones.
  • Occasional international or domestic travel.

Salary Range
  • Buffalo, NY: $110,000.00–$155,000.00 annually.
  • Base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range is one component of Moog’s total compensation package.
