Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. seeks an Account Manager to oversee assigned accounts, coordinate activities with warehouse staff, and act as the primary customer contact. The role focuses on identifying customer needs, managing shipments, and ensuring accurate processing and reporting.

The position is full-time and on-site in Sumner, WA, offering a competitive pay range and standard benefits. Strong communication, organization, and logistics experience are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in distribution/logistics administration or operations.
• Experience in over-the-road inbound and outbound transportation administration or operations.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, employees, and service providers.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Extremely proficient with MS Office programs and YMS/TMS/WMS.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key point of contact with the customer.
• Focus the sales effort around identifying and fulfilling customers' current and future needs.
• Help identify opportunities where Company services fit the customer's ongoing business strategy.
• Speak with customers by phone or in person and receive instructions for shipment, storing, delivery, or general processing.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel to oversee incoming and outgoing account activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
• Prepare daily and monthly KPI reports.
• Process shipments via customer portals.
• Communicate with Management any concerns and/or issues that may impact the company.
• Position is full-time and on-site.
