Job summary

USC FPM is seeking a Locksmith – Module C in Los Angeles, CA. The role performs standard and advanced locksmith tasks, maintains master key systems, and supports high security access control. The candidate leads and trains journeymen, operates key cutting equipment, and estimates materials.

The position requires a four-year apprenticeship with journeyman experience and a valid California driver’s license. Duties include installation and maintenance of electrified hardware and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of four-year apprenticeship program.
• 5 Years of journeyman experience.
• Trade-related trainee may substitute for four-year apprenticeship.
• Experience operating key cutting and code cutting machines.
• Valid CA driver's license; DMV pull notice system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and advanced locksmith procedures including high security keying and master key systems.
• Install and maintain access control locks and electrified hardware.
• Prepare materials estimates and maintain key records.
• Train journeymen and Zone Maintenance Technicians in skills and tasks.
• Install locks, hardware, and panic devices per plans and specs.
• Ensure safe, clean, and compliant job sites and prepare maintenance records.
