Job summary

Established Commercial Bank in New York seeks a Loan Manager/Relationship Manager to oversee the bilateral and syndicated loan origination process, ensure regulatory compliance, and grow a nationwide client base.

The role requires deep knowledge of underwriting, strong relationship building, and the ability to drive large corporate and SME lending with a disciplined workflow. Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in banking are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 4+ years in commercial banking or relationship management.
• Proven loan origination experience in banking, preference for international banks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loan origination from application to closing while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Review loan applications and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct underwriting assessments to evaluate borrower creditworthiness and risk.
• Drive growth by acquiring large corporate and SME accounts with banking solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of all loan transactions and communications.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline loan processing workflows.
• Build and manage a national client pipeline and relationships.
• Identify opportunities to expand nationwide loan business with feasible plans.
