Job summary

Johnson Associates, Inc. is seeking an AVP or VP of Loan Operations in New York to lead a high-value syndicated loan portfolio, owning the end-to-end lifecycle from onboarding to divestment with LoanIQ mastery.

You will collaborate with deal teams, legal, finance, and external service providers to support complex transactions, mentor a small team, and ensure data integrity and robust controls. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in the office), a competitive compensation package,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in loan operations or middle office, AVP level, or 7–10+ years for VP level.
• Experience in end-to-end delivery of bilateral and syndicated deals.
• Bachelor’s degree; finance/accounting background advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and refine the operational framework for a high-value loan portfolio spanning private credit, private equity, and real estate.
• Collaborate with investing deal teams, legal, finance, and external service providers to support complex transactions and maintain robust stakeholder relationships.
• Oversee end-to-end transaction management, including financial close, onboarding, servicing, and divestment, with risk mitigation in mind.
• Mentor and develop a small but high-performing team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Maintain authority over loan administration activities within LoanIQ and related systems, ensuring data integrity.
• Advise on credit agreements and legal documentation, interpreting complex financial and accounting principles.
