Job summary
Bighorn Law in New Bern, NC is seeking an experienced Senior Loan Officer Assistant / Junior Loan Officer to join our mortgage team. This is a full-time, in-person position for someone with hands-on experience in mortgage lending, loan processing, underwriting, or loan origination.
The role works closely with the Loan Officer from application through closing, with a strong focus on loan structure, file preparation, underwriting requirements, problem-solving, and overall loan coordination.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in mortgage lending, loan processing or underwriting.
- Experience managing the loan process from application to closing.
- Ability to coordinate files and communicate with borrowers and lenders.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Loan Officer from application through closing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Support loan structuring, file preparation, and underwriting requirements to keep deals moving.
