Job summary

Intercoastal Mortgage, LLC in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Loan Officer Assistant to support a high-volume producing team. You will work directly with senior loan officers on the application-to-closing process and assist the sales side of the business.

The ideal candidate has mortgage experience, strong organizational skills, and a proactive, customer-focused approach. Base salary ranges from $26k–$36k, with potential bonus, and opportunities for growth toward a stand-alone loan officer role.

Qualifications

• Two years mortgage experience preferred.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Mortgage Loan Originator license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with questions and processing needs.
• Provide updates to borrowers and real estate agents.
• Collaborate with loan officers and processors through underwriting.
• Coordinate closings with all parties involved.
• Support marketing and CRM activities for the team.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
