Senior Loan Operations / Middle Office Analyst – Private Credit

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Loan Operations / Middle Office Analyst to support the Loan Operations team during a major rated note fund launch.
The role will support day-to-day operations across a private credit portfolio while senior team members are temporarily dedicated to the project. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with loan servicing, syndicated and private loans, trade settlement, reconciliations, cash operations, and private credit structures.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can quickly understand written procedures, operate independently, and work effectively with internal teams, agent banks, custodians, fund administrators, and offshore support teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Process daily loan servicing activities, including agent notices, rate resets, rollovers, drawdowns, delayed draws, paydowns, PIK, interest, and fee accruals.
- Support syndicated and private loan trade settlement, including documentation review and settlement follow-up.
- Process cash transactions, prepare and confirm wires, and investigate cash breaks.
- Reconcile positions and cash between internal systems, agent/custodian records, and the fund administrator.
- Process loan lifecycle events, including amendments and corporate actions, and accurately update systems of record.
- Investigate exceptions, resolve breaks, and maintain clear documentation.
- Partner with offshore teams supporting reconciliation, cash operations, and trade operations.
- Perform routine reporting and data-quality checks across loan and position data.
- Follow established operational controls and maintain appropriate audit documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 4-8 years of experience in loan operations, loan servicing, or middle-office operations within an asset manager, alternative investment firm, insurer, bank, or fund administrator.
- Strong understanding of the syndicated and private loan lifecycle.
- Experience interpreting agent notices and rate-setting mechanics.
- Knowledge of private credit structures, including revolvers and delayed draw facilities.
- Experience with trade settlement under LSTA or LMA documentation.
- Strong reconciliation experience with the ability to independently research and resolve breaks.
- Experience working within defined operational controls and audit requirements.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with internal teams, agent banks, and fund administrators.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WSO, Allvue, eFront, or comparable loan administration platforms.
- Exposure to IBOR and ABOR environments.
- Experience supporting a team during a major project or transition.
- Experience working with offshore operations/delivery teams.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini in an operations environment.
