Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with deep expertise in Load Balancing to design, implement, and support highly available application delivery solutions across the enterprise. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 7+ years of network engineering experience.
• Strong experience with F5 technologies (LTM, GTM/DNS) and related app delivery concepts.
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, VLANs).
• Experience in regulated enterprise environments and change management.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, implement, and support enterprise Load Balancing across F5 platforms.
• Collaborate with application, security, automation, and infrastructure teams to translate requirements into scalable designs.
• Lead technical execution for load balancing projects, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning.
• Develop standards, templates, procedures, validation steps, and documentation.
• Review changes with risk, testing, rollback plans, and production stability in mind.
• Troubleshoot complex delivery issues involving traffic, pools, profiles, SSL/TLS, DNS, and connectivity.
• Support compliance, audit, configuration management, access control, and change governance.
• Contribute to automation by reviewing scripts and partnering with automation teams.
• Engage with vendors to assess capabilities and align with enterprise objectives.
• Mentor peers and promote engineering excellence across the load balancing service.
