Job summary

Atria Senior Living - Las Posas is seeking an on-site Transportation Driver to provide safe, courteous transportation for residents and support the Engage Life and Maintenance Directors. CDL is required, with strong driving history and knowledge of local streets within an 8-mile radius.

The role involves vehicle maintenance coordination, assisting residents in and out of vehicles, and reporting maintenance needs. Benefits include paid holidays, health insurance, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.
• Five or more years of driving experience and knowledge of vehicle maintenance programs.
• CDL required to operate commercial size vehicles.
• Able to operate 7–16 passenger bus and related equipment (limousine/car, wheel chocks, dollies).
• Experienced with vehicle emergency repairs and minor on-road maintenance.
• Knowledge of streets within an 8-mile radius of the community.
• Position requires driving responsibilities; may use Company or personal vehicle.
• Must meet Atria’s Motor Vehicle Record Policy standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, courteous transportation service and support staff for Engage Life/ Maintenance Directors.
• Coordinate vehicle pre-maintenance, maintenance, and repair to ensure longevity.
• Drive residents to social and other destinations according to schedule.
• Assist residents into and out of the vehicle safely.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs and restraints during trips.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report maintenance needs.
• Deliver groceries and belongings to residents’ apartments.
• Assist Engage Life Department in activities and programs.
• Submit charges to the business office daily for travel expenses.
• Maintain a safe driving record per company guidelines.
• Handle emergencies and basic First Aid.
• Report unsafe conditions to the Executive Director.
• May perform other duties as needed.
