Cogir Senior Living is hiring a dedicated Driver to transport residents to appointments and activities, assist with safe boarding and alighting, and support daily programs. The role requires friendliness, patience, and a strong commitment to safety in a senior living setting.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid state driver's license (CDL may be required in some states), and a minimum of three years driving history.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license; CDL may be required per state/local regulations.
• Passenger endorsement if required by state regulations.
• At least three years of driving record with a clean history.
• At least one year driving a passenger vehicle, preferably in healthcare or senior living.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable transportation for residents to appointments, activities, and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle and manage wheelchairs/walkers as needed.
• Ensure resident safety and satisfaction during departures and returns.
• Prepare the vehicle for operation and coordinate basic maintenance.
• Maintain proper vehicle documents and adhere to state regulations.
• Follow traffic laws and safety procedures at all times.
• Support resident programs and engage with residents during trips.
• Build positive relationships and provide courteous, patient assistance.
