Job summary

Liberty Senior Living in Charleston, SC is seeking an experienced Driver to coordinate daily resident transportation, schedule trips, and maintain an up-to-date transport calendar. You will perform QA vehicle inspections and keep safety logs for every trip.

You will assist residents with loading and unloading packages, ensure safe entry/exit from vehicles, and carry out concierge and maintenance duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid state class C CDL Driver’s License for operating the large passenger bus.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older with good moral character and elder-care mindset.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle with a clean driving record.
• Must have training and documentation of skill checklist completed prior to transporting residents.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily transportation after notification of resident or staff transport needs.
• Maintain a calendar of all transport plans to prevent conflicts.
• Perform QA vehicle inspection before each use per policy and procedures.
• Maintain required safety logs of each transport vehicle.
• Ensure routine maintenance is carried out on vehicles used to transport residents.
• Establish and maintain a maintenance schedule for each vehicle.
• Assist residents in safely loading and unloading packages into the transport vehicle.
• Ensure all residents can safely and independently enter and exit the vehicle.
• Perform concierge duties as needed.
• Perform maintenance duties as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
