Atria Senior Living in Eugene, Oregon is seeking a Sous Chef to join the Dining Services team. You will prepare nutritious meals for residents and help run a safe, efficient kitchen.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of cooking experience, strong English communication and mentoring abilities. Wage range: $18.25–$21.90 per hour with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in industry or full-service restaurant cooking.
• Effective communication in English and excellent customer service skills.
• Experience mentoring and directing others.
• Ability to prepare and follow recipes.
• General knowledge of and ability to conform to sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Basic Computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious, appetizing, and attractive meals for residents.
• Review menus and follow production instructions, ensuring portion-control standards.
• Oversee preparation and service setup to deliver timely, well-presented meals.
• Follow food safety handling procedures and labeling/storage practices.
• Accurately complete logs for refrigerator, freezer, and production records.
• Maintain sanitation standards across all kitchen areas and equipment.
• In absence of Executive Chef, oversee kitchen operations and staff.
• Support resident satisfaction and address food-related concerns.
