Job summary

Merrill Gardens at The University in Seattle is seeking a Senior Living Sous Chef to support residents with high-quality, scratch-made meals. The role requires 5+ years of experience in quality food preparation and leadership in a high-volume, fine dining setting.

You’ll work with kitchen staff, ensure proper food production records, and follow Executive Chef guidelines to maintain exceptional dining experiences.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality food preparation.
• Experience in scratch cooking in a high volume, fine dining setting.
• Maintains documentation of all temperature charts and records.
• In absence of the Executive Chef, oversees directs all dining service Team Members assigned during a shift.
• Completes food production records per company policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dining service operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
• Prepare items following established procedures by the Executive Chef.
• Maintain accurate temperature charts and records.
• Ensure high-quality meals for residents in a high-volume setting.
• Support team with production and service during shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
