Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Current state license as Speech Language Pathologist or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.
• Minimum commitment of 8 hours per month to maintain active employment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication impairments.
• Establish treatment goals and develop/implement Speech Pathology programs based on full clinical evaluation.
• Provide rehabilitative services to patients as part of a coordinated team.
• Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate plans of care.
• Treat residents one-on-one through private treatment sessions using a functional-based approach.
• Provide personalized therapeutic and rehabilitative care to senior living residents.
