Job summary

Ivy Park at Cerritos is seeking a Server to provide friendly, courteous dining service to residents, families, and visitors in our senior living community. You will take orders, enter them into the POS, and help set up and clear tables to enhance every dining experience. Experience isn't required—we train the right candidate.

You must be at least 16 with a work permit, and able to pass background and health screenings. A high school diploma or equivalent and good communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but not required; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact with employees, supervisors, physicians, residents, and families.
• Criminal background check and health screening tests required.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Set up and break down tables in the dining area.
• Maintain proper serving etiquette and safety practices.
• Encourage teamwork and cooperation with coworkers and other departments.
