Job summary

601 Charlestown Community, Inc. is seeking a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) to help implement our Security and Emergency Services programs at a gated retirement community in Charlestown.

The role involves regular patrols, relief staffing for the gatehouse, responding to emergency and routine calls, enforcing traffic regulations, and coordinating with local EMS and police. CPR and EMR certifications are required; EMT or higher licensure is acceptable and a 30-day EMR

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services preferred.
• Proactive, vigilant and detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Current EMR certification (higher level certification/licensure acceptable; must obtain EMR within 30 days if hired).

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of the property and provide relief staffing for the gatehouse.
• Respond to emergency and routine calls for service.
• Enforce all traffic and parking regulations.
• Respond to medical emergencies with appropriate basic interventions.
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity.
• Coordinate with local police, fire, and EMS during emergencies.
• Complete thorough incident reports using the online report system.
