Job summary

Bethesda in Willmar, MN is seeking an Assistant Director of Recreation to supervise and enhance daily activity programs for residents. You will coach Recreation Assistants, implement programming aligned with the department's strategic initiatives, and contribute to a positive living environment.

Qualifications

• Requires Basic Activity Education Course completion and two years of geriatric activity experience.
• Experience in long-term care activity programs and familiarity with federal/state regulations.
• Strong communication, public speaking, and organizational skills essential for leading recreation staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily activity programming for residents across physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs.
• Ensure timely daily activity scheduling and proper documentation.
• Provide coaching and supervision to Recreation Assistants and other staff.
• Attend care conferences or designate a representative to ensure program alignment.
• Complete required charting and MDS documentation on a timely basis.
