• Remain on duty during the entire scheduled work time and observe policy.
• Work directly with residents for activities and engagement.
• Foster resident communication, self-expression and personal identity.
• Be aware of resident interests, needs and goals, helping them be successful.
• Be friendly and accommodating to family members and volunteers.
• Promote open communication, cooperation and teamwork within the department.
• Complete required documentation and care planning timely and legibly.
• Be creative in planning activities for varying abilities and levels.
• Develop activity programming aligned with facility philosophy and procedures.
• Assist at meals and with activity groups as directed by supervisor.
• Foster cooperation with new staff.
