Truewood by Merrill, Pinole is seeking a compassionate Prep Cook to support our senior residents in a welcoming community. You will follow recipes, prepare meals on schedule, and uphold strict food safety standards to meet dietary needs.

The role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and quality food preparation in a life-enriching environment. Full-time positions with strong benefits, paid time off, and daily meals are offered; part-time roles are also available with similar perks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality food preparation.
• Experience in scratch cooking in a high-volume, fine dining setting.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, etc.
• 1–year previous dining experience in food preparation.
• High School diploma or GED; college degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare all food items following production amounts, recipes and procedures.
• Ensure items are prepared timely; use batch-cooking or cook-to-order as needed.
• Maintain food safety and nutrient preservation for residents’ diets.
• Attend dining services meetings and trainings.
• Keep kitchen sanitary: clean areas and equipment; follow storage guidelines.
