Job summary

Atria Senior Living is seeking kitchen staff to assist in meal preparation and presentation, delivering high-quality service to residents. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and team to ensure dining programs meet residents’ expectations and safety standards.

The role emphasizes a clean, sanitary kitchen, adherence to recipes, and participation in events while supporting residents’ well-being and the community’s culinary standards.

Qualifications

• English read/write/communication with residents and employees.
• Food handlers permit as required by law.
• ServSafe certification is required.
• Able to follow and read recipes and production guides.
• Knowledge of food handling, preparation, cooking and service.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service.
• Work with Executive Chef/Sous Chef to satisfy residents with food/dining programs.
• Maintain kitchen in a clean, safe, sanitary condition at all times.
• Adhere to cleaning schedules as assigned.
• Ensure all food is received, stored, and prepared per standards.
• Assist cook with preparation and presentation of meals and snacks.
• Keep kitchen floors clean and trash emptied.
• Assist with transportation and storage of food and supplies.
• Assist cooks as requested and adhere to food safety practices.
• Assist with events, banquets and theme meals.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment cleanly.
• Attend pre-meal stand-up in the kitchen.
• May perform other duties as needed.
