Job summary

Atria Senior Living is seeking an attentive kitchen teammate to assist with meal preparation and presentation for residents. You will work closely with chefs to ensure dining programs meet quality standards and residents receive excellent service.

The role emphasizes safe food handling, following recipes, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment. Evening or weekend shifts may be required to support events and banquets.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, and communicates in English with residents and staff.
• Requires a valid food handlers permit as per state/company standards.
• ServSafe certification is required.
• Must be able to read and follow recipes and production guides.
• Knowledge of food handling, preparation, cooking and service is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and presentation of meals.
• Provide high level of customer service to residents.
• Work with Executive/Sous Chef to meet dining program standards.
• Keep kitchen clean, sanitary and organized at all times.
• Adhere to cleaning schedules and safety practices.
• Ensure food is received, stored, and prepared per company standards.
• Assist cooks with meal and snack preparation per recipes/guides.
• Maintain clean floors and manage trash disposal.
• Assist with transportation and storage of food and supplies.
• Attend pre-meal stand-up before service and assist as needed.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
