Job summary

The Barrington of Carmel (A BHI Community) is seeking a dedicated Painter to help keep our senior living campus safe, comfortable, and welcoming. You will handle routine maintenance, painting, and repairs across facilities, supporting resident satisfaction and campus operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and basic hand/electrical tool experience, with willingness to participate in on-call and weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience using basic hand and electrical tools preferred.
• Willingness to participate in on-call, weekend, or irregular-hour rotations.
• Ability to read technical manuals and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Complete work orders with accurate documentation and timely closure.
• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and related systems.
• Perform apartment turnovers and renovations including painting and cleaning.
• Replace HVAC filters, bulbs, and maintain building systems and furnishings.
• Install appliances, hang pictures, and assemble furniture as needed.
• Assist contractors on-site under leadership direction.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized workspaces and tools.
