Job summary

The Barrington of Carmel, a premier senior living community operated by BHI Senior Living, seeks a dedicated Painter/Maintenance technician to keep our campus safe and well-maintained. You will perform routine repairs, handle turnovers, and support building systems with basic carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC tasks.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Experience using basic hand and electrical tools.
Willing to participate in on-call, weekend, or irregular-hour rotations as needed.
Ability to learn new skills and acquire technical knowledge on the job.
Able to read technical manuals and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and corrective maintenance to keep buildings, grounds, and equipment safe.
Complete assigned work orders and document repairs.
Troubleshoot and assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and related systems.
Perform apartment turnovers and renovations, including patching, painting, and cleaning.
Replace HVAC filters, light bulbs, and maintain building systems and furnishings.
Assist with on-site work as directed by leadership.
Maintain clean and safe workspaces and storage areas.
Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment.
Work Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with rotating weekends.
