Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking an Assistant Executive Director to help plan, implement, and evaluate all operations for a senior living community. You will oversee day-to-day operations, handle P&L responsibilities, and lead as the sales and HR liaison.

The role requires deep experience in retirement housing or healthcare management and a track record of building sales and managing budgets. You will supervise front desk staff, assist in recruiting and onboarding, ensure regulatory compliance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, human services, gerontology, or related field.
• 5+ years in retirement housing, hospitality, or healthcare management in a leadership role.
• Proven history of building sales and meeting financial goals.
• Knowledge of CRM, ATS, HRIS systems preferred.
• Detail-oriented with initiative and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operations and act as a point of contact for staff, residents, and partners.
• Direct oversight over front desk staff, including training and development.
• Support recruiting efforts and maintain a high-functioning team.
• Oversee hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions with consistency.
• Lead onboarding initiatives and staff/resident leadership.
• Oversee facilities maintenance and property inspections.
• Foster staff creativity to deliver high-quality, economical services.
• Maintain resident records and ensure satisfaction and safety.
• Collaborate with community and external partners to comply with regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, cash flow, and variances; support in-house sales activities.
