Job summary

Homewood Retirement Centers seeks an Associate Executive Director to oversee Environmental Services, Food Service, Community Services, Therapeutic Recreation, Wellness, and Volunteer programs. This role reports to the Executive Director and shapes operational performance across multiple departments.

The ideal candidate will manage budgets, drive regulatory compliance, and lead staff development while maintaining excellent relations with residents, families, and the community.

Qualifications

• Commitment to the organization’s purpose, mission and stated core values.
• Compassion and empathy for older persons.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, health care or related field.
• Experience in finance, governmental regulations, policy, public relations, marketing, health law, and organizational management.
• Experience in senior living and/or long-term care preferred.
• Management ability including written/verbal communication, reasoning, and coaching.
• Leadership, initiative, good judgment and dependability.
• Licensure as a nursing home administrator is desirable and may be required.

Responsibilities

• Hires, disciplines, supervises department directors and develops staff.
• Monitors resident satisfaction and conducts quality assurance audits.
• Manages department budgets to ensure sound fiscal operations.
• Supports sales, nursing, and other leaders in delivering services and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinates plans for program and facility expansion with executives.
• Ensures compliance with government rules and regulations.
• Maintains good relations with public, staff and residents.
• Treats resident and staff information as confidential.
