Job summary

Morning Pointe Communities is seeking a Director of Nursing to oversee resident care through a consistent care delivery model. You will lead Resident Caregivers, Medication Assistants, and other staff while collaborating with clinical leadership to promote quality, safety, and independence for residents.

The ideal candidate will hold an RN or LPN license in good standing, bring at least one year of supervisory experience in long-term care, and demonstrate strong communication, empathy, and staff

Qualifications

• Licensed RN or LPN in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical and supervisory experience in long-term care or related settings.
• Quality assurance/improvement and staff development experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs without restriction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality resident care in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines.
• Partner with Executive Director on recruiting, hiring, orientation, training and in-services for Resident Caregivers and LPNs.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacy and other professionals to promote quality care and independence for residents.
• Conduct comprehensive resident pre-admission, admission and quarterly assessments.
• Provide on-call support for the community.
• Ensure compliance, efficiency and understanding of policies and procedures.
