Job summary

Morning Pointe Communities is seeking a Director of Nursing to oversee resident care through a consistent care delivery model. You will lead Resident Caregivers, Medication Assistants, and other staff while collaborating with clinical leadership to promote quality, safety, and independence for residents.

The ideal candidate will hold an RN or LPN license in good standing, bring at least one year of supervisory experience in long-term care, and demonstrate strong communication, empathy, and staff

Qualifications

  • Licensed RN or LPN in good standing.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical and supervisory experience in long-term care or related settings.
  • Quality assurance/improvement and staff development experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs without restriction.

  • Provide on-call support for the community.
  • Ensure compliance, efficiency and understanding of policies and procedures.

Position Summary

As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing care to residents through a consistent care delivery model. You will lead residential case management and provide clinical oversight to Resident Caregivers, Medication Assistants (MA), and other resident care staff.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Ensures quality resident care is consistently delivered in accordance with all local, state and federal guidelines
  • Partners with the Executive Director on recruiting, hiring, new hire orientation, training and in‑services for the Resident Caregivers, Medication Assistants, and LPNs
  • Collaborates and partners with physicians, pharmacy and other medical professionals to promote quality care and independence for our residents
  • Conducts comprehensive resident pre-admission, admission and quarterly assessments
  • Provide on-call support for the community
  • Ensures compliance, efficiency and team’s understanding of policies and procedures

Required Qualifications
  • Licensed Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Maintains a current/unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical and supervisory experience in long term care, community-based care or assisted living/memory care
  • Quality assurance/improvement and staff development experience
  • The ability to lift 50 lbs without restriction
