Job summary

Atria Senior Living is seeking an Activities Assistant in Massachusetts to support life enrichment for residents, planning and facilitating a variety of recreational activities and celebrations. You will work with Life Guidance staff to implement engaging programs that enhance residents’ daily living and well-being.

The role requires maintaining activity records, ensuring safety, and adapting activities to residents’ needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–2 years experience with adults in activities or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of recreational therapy methods and their application to activities for residents with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.
• Certification(s) required based on current state regulations.
• Willing to work various schedules and shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Leads Life Guidance programs and develops service plans.
• Provides diversified recreational activities with sufficient supervision.
• Plans and executes daily programs including activities of daily living.
• Involves Life Guidance staff in planning and implementing activities and celebrations.
• Plans individual birthday celebrations and seasonal community events.
• Maintains resident activity records as required by state law.
