Atria Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Activity Specialist to lead Life Guidance programs and deliver engaging recreational activities for residents in North Quincy, MA. This role supports daily living activities and helps create a vibrant community culture.

The position emphasizes person-centered activity planning, collaboration with staff, and adherence to state regulations while offering a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–2 years experience with adults developing/implementing activities.
• Working knowledge of recreational therapy or activity programming and its application to residents with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.
• Required certifications based on current state regulations.
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Leads Life Guidance programs and develops service plans.
• Offers diversified recreational activities with supervision for each activity.
• Involves Life Guidance staff in planning and daily program implementation.
• Plans individual birthday celebrations for each resident.
• Develops programs for residents including those confined to their rooms.
• Engages and motivates residents to participate in activities.
• Greets new residents and fosters inclusion with others of similar interests.
• Plans parties and seasonal decorations and monthly birthday celebrations.
• Supports census building initiatives.
• Maintains records of activities and participation as required by state law.
• Assists Life Guidance Director in enlisting volunteers to aid the activities program.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
