Atria Senior Living in Foster City, CA, is seeking a Memory Care Activity Specialist to lead Life Guidance programs for residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

You will plan and deliver diverse activities, coordinate with Life Guidance staff, and maintain accurate records while complying with state regulations and company policies. This full-time role offers a supportive team and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of recreational therapy or activity programming and its application to residents with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.
• Certification(s) required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Life Guidance programs and develop service plans.
• Provide adequate and diverse recreational activities with supervision.
• Involve Life Guidance staff in daily programming and activities of daily living.
• Plan individual birthday celebrations for residents.
• Develop programs for residents including those confined to their rooms.
• Engage residents to encourage participation in programs.
• Greet and include new residents and connect them with others.
• Assist in planning events and decorating the community for seasons and holidays.
• Support census-building initiatives and maintain activity records as required by state law.
• Assist Life Guidance Director with volunteers for activities.
