Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a part-time Medication Technician at Ivy Park in Pleasanton to assist with medication administration and resident care. The role collaborates with pharmacies and physicians to ensure accurate medication management and safety.

Requirements include a minimum of 1 year in medication assistance at a RCFE, high school diploma or equivalent, and strong customer service skills. Vaccination/testing may be required per policy.

Qualifications

• One year of experience assisting with medication in RCFE preferred.
• Based on state regulations, completion of training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN a plus.
• Ability to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel).
• Excellent customer service and strong communication with residents and families.
• Written and verbal interaction with staff, supervisors, physicians and caregivers.
• Criminal background check and health screening including TB tests.
• Vaccination/testing and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with the resident pharmacy and physician.
• Order and track medication changes, refills and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe environment following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork with coworkers and other departments.
