Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide/Med Tech to ensure residents receive medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity in a senior living setting.

You will administer medications per physician orders, observe residents, document in MAR/TAR in real time, and maintain medication safety and infection control standards. Prior senior care experience and appropriate certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, age 18+
• Medication Administration certification required
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Senior care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time
• Observe residents during and after medication passes
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief
• Report refusals or concerns promptly
• Complete narcotic counts per policy
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms
• Follow infection control and safety standards
