Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a Med Tech to provide quality care to residents in a Senior Living setting. This hourly role supports medication administration under RN/LPN supervision and adheres to care plans and physician orders.

The ideal candidate has completed Medication Technician training, maintains HIPAA compliance, and is available to work weekends and holidays. Per diem opportunities may be available; active CNA or HHA license (NJ) is required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Medication Technician training and periodic competency testing.
• Ability to perform medication administration in accordance with State Regs.
• Strong Communication Skills.
• Observes & reports changes in residents' condition to Supervisor.
• Knowledge of HIPAA policies.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months experience working with seniors in Personal Care, Home Health, Hospital, or Long-Term Care.

Responsibilities

• Administer and/or assist with self-administration of prescribed medication and maintain related records.
• Complete required annual medication training.
• Provide resident care to meet care plan needs.
• Maintain medical records and written documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents.
