Job summary

TerraBella Senior Living Thornblade is seeking a Care/Medication Technician to join our community. This role provides hands-on care and medical support to residents, helping maintain a safe, home-like environment while delivering compassionate service.

You will assist with daily living activities, monitor residents' conditions, observe medications under supervision, and support the Nursing team to ensure quality care and safety for our residents.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred.
• High School diploma/GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• First Aid Certification preferred.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for a designated group of residents during the shift; know where residents are and check on them.
• Observe, report and document symptoms and conditions of residents for changes.
• Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly.
• Notify supervisor if a resident has increased care needs.
• Assist with continence management and disposes of products to ensure sanitation.
• Serve and collect food trays and report refusals or loss of appetite.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident’s room and work areas.
• Practice good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene and health.
• Help residents maintain independence, promote dignity and safety.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating).
• Engage residents in life skills and life enrichment activities.
• Greets and assists all customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors and team members.
• Does resident laundry as assigned.
