Job summary

Discovery Senior Living in Durham, NC is seeking a Care Giver/Med Tech to provide hands-on resident care in a safe, home-like environment. You will support daily living activities and assist with basic health-related tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred.
• High School diploma/GED.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• First Aid Certification preferred.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for a designated group of residents during the shift and monitor wellbeing.
• Observe, report and document symptoms and conditions of residents for changes.
• Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly.
• Notify supervisor and/or Health Care Coordinator if a resident has increased care needs.
• Assist with continence management and sanitation of resident suites and restrooms.
• Serve and collect food trays and assist with meals as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and work areas.
• Participate in activities of daily living as instructed and engage residents in enrichment activities.
• Greet and assist internal and external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors and team members.
• Perform resident laundry as assigned.
