Job summary

Discovery Commons at Wildewood, a part of Discovery Senior Living, seeks a Care Giver/Med Tech to provide hands-on care and support to residents in a home-like environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring residents, documenting changes, responding to calls, assisting with meals and activities, and collaborating with the Nurse and Health Care Coordinator. Qualifications include CNA certification preferred, Med Tech license, HS diploma, and 18+ years of age.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred.
• Med Tech License required.
• High School diploma/GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• First Aid Certification preferred.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care Giver duties: manage designated group of residents, check on them, and assist with activities of daily living.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition and document accordingly.
• Respond to resident call bells promptly and notify supervisor of increased care needs.
• Assist with continence management and maintain sanitation in resident areas.
• Serve meals, assist with dining, and support residents to remain independent.
• Engage residents in life skills and enrichment activities.
• Medication Tech duties: assist/observe medications and treatments per plan, document administrations and refusals, restock carts, and maintain medication room and charts.

Education

Certified Nurse’s Aid certification

Med Tech License

High School diploma/GED

Must be 18 years of age

CPR Certification preferred

First Aid Certification preferred

Previous experience working with seniors preferred
