Job summary

Discovery Management Group is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Technician to support maintenance and housekeeping around the community grounds and facilities in the Dallas area. You will perform routine tasks and respond to service requests to keep buildings, grounds, and equipment in good working order.

The role requires at least 1 year of maintenance experience, ability to be on call, and a general understanding of plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• One year maintenance experience.
• Ability to be on call if needed.
• General understanding of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and code compliance.
• Knowledge of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.
• Ability to respond to emergency calls outside scheduled hours.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Good judgment, problem solving and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties in and around community grounds as assigned.
• Complete service requests for repair and maintenance of all grounds, buildings, apartments, equipment and vehicles in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Fix wall/floor coverings, repair furniture/fixtures, basic plumbing, minor electrical, appliances, painting and refurbishing projects, and make-ready rooms.
